Globus Executive to Share Insights of Landmark International Religious Travel Study
LITTLETON, Colorado (August 14, 2008) – Participants at the World Religious Travel Expo and Educational Conference will hear Globus Vice President Steve Born’s insights and firsthand observations of the faith tourism industry, based upon the recent groundbreaking Globus/Menlo international religious travel study. WRTA Expo organizers have selected Born to give a keynote speech on the opening day of the first international gathering of the $18 billion worldwide religious travel industry.
“As one of the first and only large tour operators to embrace faith-based travel, creating a religious travel division in 2004, it is both my pleasure and honor to speak about this burgeoning travel trend as well as the Globus family of brands' first-hand experiences in creating and selling religious travel vacations at the World Religious Travel Expo," said Born.
The World Religious Travel Expo is the seminal gathering of the worldwide faith tourism industry. More than 100 exhibitors from 25 countries and more than 400 travel agents and group planners are expected at the unprecedented event. The Expo will be held Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2008 at the Gaylord Palms Resort Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The event is organized by the World Religious Travel Association (WRTA), the source and voice of the religious travel industry. For more information, visit www.religioustravelexpo.com.
